Sandhills Alumni Club’s Best Buckeye Members of the Year are Chris and Mike Dixon.

They have donated unselfishly to our club since its beginning and have made a positive impression on Buckeyes nationwide.

The Dixons supported the club’s Wounded Warrior Program our first year by making dozens of Block O cookies, helping to package the items, and furnishing their company’s non-crushable Ad-Cut boxes for packaging.

In our second year, they made an OSU rug for club auction, and specified that the money be donated to the club’s scholarship fund. The rug brought over $500.

When Archie Griffin visited, they made an OSU rug for his office and presented it as a gift on behalf of the club. They also arranged for Archie to play golf on Pinehurst Course 2 and made his room arrangements at the Pinehurst Hotel.

In a time of need, Chris agreed to be the Editor of the Buckeye Nut Notes. She had never produced a newsletter before, but her passion to help the club compelled her to try. Her layout was eye catching and widely praised by many.

Finally, Chris and Mike have given our club the bragging rights for their production of the lettering seen on current the OSU football and Woody Hayes practice fields.

The Dixons are great Buckeyes who have supported the club since it started. They are very proud to be members of the Sandhills Club and The Ohio State University Alumni Association.
